BMI Indie Spotlight: Nicknames
Nicknames (a.k.a. Max Streitwieser) blends elements of dance-pop with funk and Hip-Hop influences, inspired by his time growing up in Germany and the D.C. area, to create a distinctive blend of pop that is all his own. Breaking out of the New York indie scene in 2021 as an NYU Music Business student, he moved to LA in 2024 to attend the Los Angeles Academy of Artists and Music Producers (LAAMP), mentored by Stargate. He just released his third EP, You Don’t Wanna Miss This, as well as his single “Ain’t On The List,” from his viral freestyle on ARIatHOME with Jacob Daley.
