BMI Indie Spotlight: Marlo the Barbarian

Posted in News on December 7, 2022

Marlo the Barbarian is at the epicenter of an exciting musical movement happening in Los Angeles, one that is focused on female artists in the alternative scene taking center stage. Unafraid to speak her truth and be unapologetically honest, Marlo takes inspiration from her peers like Royal & the Serpent, Mothica, and more, and is creating an inclusive community where all are welcome. Popular songs from MTB include “Hate Me,” “Real Friends, Fake Friends,” and “That’s It,” and her next EP is scheduled to be released in Spring 2023. “My Bad” is the second single off the project, which will be released through Prim8 Recordings, the label home to grandson, Mod Sun, No Love, Siickbrain, and more.
