BMI Indie Spotlight: Hueston
Cory Hueston is a viking-voiced, Florida-based artist, songwriter, and producer. He is the former frontman of The Blancos and has landed syncs in hit Warner Bros. films like Aquaman and Just Mercy. Now, he has shifted his sights to his solo work as Hueston with the release of Orbs, an emotional six-song EP that he likens to a phoenix rising from the ashes. “To get through it, you need to go through it,” he explains. “Orbs is the moment the sun starts peaking, that moment when the sunrise begins.” Much of the EP is immersed in self-reflection, overcoming trauma, and facing fears, and Hueston uses his voice, energy, and guitar skills to display his newly evolved sound. Hueston continues working on music and sharing live performances of his songs on social media. As for live shows? “Can’t wait,” he says.
