BMI Indie Spotlight: Fall 2022
Summer is winding down, but the Indie Spotlight never does! In this latest edition, we hear from nine incredible acts who we’re happy to have on the soundtrack to our Autumn. First up is Joey Valence & Brae, who have been lighting up festival stages (including our own!) all around the world this year, followed by the lyrical intrigue of Bartees Strange and the healing sound of MALIA, who helps us face the difficult questions after a heartbreak. Next up is The Rare Occasions, an alt-rock trio who give us a notion that they’re ones to watch, Bebe Stockwell, who we definitely love back, and Beauty School Dropout, a three-piece band who perfectly blend everything we’ve ever loved about rock music and everything we didn’t love about the past couple of years. The Sunshine State brings the light back, Wiley Beckett gets us dancing at the disco, and New Jersey’s Maddy Davis rounds out the Fall 2022 edition with her empathic message and powerful pop songs that remind us to dream big.
