BMI Indie Spotlight: DAISY WORLD
Born under a musical spell cast in equal parts by Carole King and Snoop Dogg, Los Angeles’ Daisy Hamel Buffa initially made waves as the dynamic frontwoman of her self-titled band, Daisy, releasing 3 acclaimed EP’s and several genre-blending singles that some called “Surf&B” and others “Jazz Punk.” But following the breakup of that band in 2022, Daisy has since pursued a new path. A fixture of L.A. music culture, Daisy has leant her talents to names like Steve Lacey and Tyler, the Creator, but is currently readying the release of her debut solo LP under the name Daisy World, a new collection of songs that veer between rap cadences and timeless melodies, all defined by her signature soulful voice, raw lyrics and captivating songwriting.
