BMI Indie Spotlight: Annika Wells

Posted in News on March 15, 2023

Most people keep personal, embarrassing, and crazy thoughts to themselves, but Annika Wells isn’t one of them. Her songs are peppered with the kind of honesty you’d expect from a childhood friend, creating undeniably catchy tunes that deal with love, death, and doomed romance. Wells earned a GRAMMY nomination in 2022 for her work on Illenium’s #1 single, “Nightlight,” and she has consistently been part of multiple hits with the likes of Jonas Brothers, BTS, AJ Mitchell, Tinashe, Grey, Maggie Lindemann, PRETTYMUCH, and more. Her major label debut dropped in 2020, led by the single “F*ck Being Sober,” and her most recent solo release, “Stay High,”—co-written with Julia Michaels, Illenium, and Jason Evigan—dropped last year. Check out her new collaborative single with gnash, “granola bars,” now.
