BMI was excited to host an intimate listening session with singer/songwriter and actress Rita Wilson last week in our L.A. offices to celebrate both Women’s History Month and the release of her new album, Sound of a Woman, which comes out May 1. Wilson took attendees through the record, sharing what inspired the songs during an in-depth Q&A session with Women in Film CEO, Kirsten Schaffer, and treated the audience to live performances of “Your Mother” and the title track from the new release, “Sound of a Woman.” The event was in partnership with Women in Film and Universal Music Publishing.
