BMI’s Assistant Vice President of Film, TV & Visual Media Relations, Ray Yee, again this year gathered BMI team members, songwriters, composers, music supervisors, managers, record company and publishing executives for a day of golf, which resulted in record proceeds from the event benefiting Education Through Music – Los Angeles. The highly anticipated annual tournament, held this year on September 26, pitted twenty teams against each other at Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland, CA. The day concluded with a reception on the club’s patio, where Yee awarded trophies to the winning teams.

ETM–LA is an independent 501(c)(3) organization that partners with disadvantaged inner-city schools to provide and promote music. The group’s Executive Director, Victoria Lanier, also addressed the crowd confirming the importance of music education, as participants were treated to a special violin performance by Alessandria Sandoval, a student at Castelar Elementary.
