BMI Expands Its Long-Standing Acoustic Lounge Series
Intimate Showcases, sponsored by Shure, happening in Atlanta, Austin, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville and New York
BMI is excited to announce the expansion of its long-standing BMI Acoustic Lounge series across multiple markets in the US and London. The showcases, which provide emerging songwriters with a platform to perform new music, is sponsored by Shure, a global leader in audio technology. The series debuted in Los Angeles in 2005, before being introduced to New York City in 2012 and Nashville in 2024. In addition, the company’s Austin office rebranded its Saxon Songwriters Series to BMI’s Acoustic Lounge in 2024, and new showcases were launched in Atlanta, Miami and London this summer.

BMI’s Acoustic Lounge is open to the public and provides the company’s emerging songwriters with an opportunity to attract new fans and connect with industry VIPs. Guests often consider the showcases a place of musical discovery where they can hear songwriters reveal their stories behind the music. The series has featured hundreds of talented creators over the years, including Ray Benson, JORDY, Lucky Daye, Lauv, K. Michelle, Kimmie Rhodes, Maggie Rogers, Vanessa Zamora and many more.
