BMI Congratulates Ludwig Göransson on Best Original Score Win at the 2026 BAFTA Awards

BMI is excited to congratulate Ludwig Göransson for winning the Best Original Score Award for Sinners at the 2026 BAFTA Awards. This achievement marks Göransson’s second BAFTA win, which he adds to a long list of distinguished accolades. He won his first BAFTA in 2024 for his score for Oppenheimer. For his music for Ryan Coogler’s celebrated Sinners, Göransson has already won a Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Score and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, among others. The BMI composer is also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score for Sinners, as well as Best Original Song for “I Lied to You” from the same film.

The BAFTA ceremony was broadcast on BBC One in the UK and can be streamed on BBC iPlayer and BritBox.
