BMI Congratulates its Winners of the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards
BMI is once again very proud to be congratulating its Latin affiliates who made a strong impact, last night, at the Billboard’s Latin Music Awards, which was held at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida. Among the evening’s multiple winners, Mexican singer/songwriter Peso Pluma took home eight awards, notably New Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the year, Male and Songwriter of the Year. Pluma’s awards also included four trophies for his work with the musical group Eslabon Armado on their massive hit, “Ella Baila Sola,” which won Hot Latin Song of the Year and Hot Latin Song of the year, Vocal Event, among other accolades.
Karol G collected five awards, including Hot Latin Songs Artist, Female, Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for Mañana Será Bonito. Additionally, Karol G was celebrated with Billboard’s Spirit of Hope Award for her contributions to helping women through her Con Cora Foundation.
Beyond the awards, the evening featured some amazing music, including a performance of “Fiesta Loca” by Justin Quiles and El Alfa, a heartfelt rendition of “El Amor De Su Vida” by Grupo Frontera, an airing of “La Bebe (Remix)” by Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma, and moving tribute to Jenni Rivera by Chiquis, Banda Clibre 50* and Banda Los Sebastianes* and many more.
