BMI Congratulates Its 2025 MusicRow Award Winners
BMI songwriters earned nods at the 37th annual MusicRow Awards on September 3 and received honors in nine of the sixteen categories.
Morgan Wallen was named Entertainer of the Year for the second time while also being named Male Artist of the Year and Lainey Wilson took home the award for Female Artist of the Year for the third consecutive year.
GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon earned her first honor as Female Songwriter of the Year and newcomer Carter Faith was given the Discovery Artist award, which honors a Nashville developing artist who demonstrates significant talent and potential to rise.
Ella Langley took home three trophies, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year and a tied win for Song of the Year with “Weren’t For The Wind,” co-written with BMI songwriters Johnny Clawson, who won the Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year award, and Joybeth Taylor. The song tied with Zach Top’s “I Never Lie,” which he co-wrote with BMI songwriters Carson Chamberlain and Tim Nichols.
The MusicRow Awards are Nashville’s longest-running music industry trade publication to honor the achievements of songwriters, artists, producers, and more. Winners are voted on by MusicRow’s subscribers.
