BMI Composers Share Their Expertise in NYU TV Scoring Workshop
BMI was proud to partner once again with NYU for this year’s renowned TV Scoring Workshop in which BMI composers give insights, as well as feedback, to NYU scoring students. This year’s BMI mentors included John Kaefer, Ben Decter, Sherri Chung, and Sean Callery. The 12-day workshop, which ran from June 13-24, provided real-life experiences on how to be creative with limited resources, interface with key players of post-production teams, and successfully deliver on time in high-pressure situations under short deadlines. NYU faculty on hand included Ron Sadoff, Sergi Casanelles and Kat Vokes. In addition to this unique opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from top composers, BMI’s Reema Iqbal delivered a presentation and answered questions from students about what BMI offers music creators.
