BMI Celebrates its 2024 GRAMMY Nominees

Posted in News on November 10, 2023

Today, the Recording Academy announced the nominees for the GRAMMY Awards, and BMI is exceptionally proud to congratulate our many talented affiliates who were singled out for this prestigious honor. The 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4, 2024, and will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount +.

Among BMI’s multiple nominees, SZA leads the group with nine nods, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best R&B Performance for “Kill Bill,” and Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B album for SOS. Taylor Swift, Boygenius (featuring BMI songwriters Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus), Miley Cyrus and Jack Antonoff were all cited with six nominations. Swift has received nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Anti-Hero,” as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Karma” with Ice Spice. Swift was also nominated for Album of the Year for Midnights, which ties her with Barbra Streisand for the most all-time nominations for a female artist for Album of the Year. Boygenius are in the running for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance for “Not Strong Enough,” as well as Best Alternative Music Album and Album of the year for The Record. Cyrus’ nods include Album of the Year for Endless Summer Vacation, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers,” as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Thousand Miles” with Brandi Carlile.
