Nashville’s music scene was treated to an unforgettable evening as BMI singer/songwriter Lauren Daigle took the stage for the monthly BMI at the Bluebird showcase series on Tuesday (8/08). Celebrating the forthcoming release of her self-titled album, out September 8, Daigle was joined alongside several of her collaborators including BMI songwriters Tofer Brown, Natalie Hemby, Jason Ingram and Grant Pittman. Before the 90-minute set began, BMI’s Clay Bradley greeted the audience and introduced Daigle.

“Thank you to BMI for being a part of this and for letting me share my record with you guys in this type of setting,” Daigle shared with the crowd.

The multi-Platinum and GRAMMY-winning artist showcased a wide range of her raw talent and lyrical depth while performing 10 unreleased songs for the first time. Highlights included “Inherited,” “21 Days,” and “Salvation Mountain,” as she accompanied each song with its personal origin. American Songwriter livestreamed the intimate event which they dubbed a “full-circle moment” and fans can read more about the evening here.

Since the release of her GRAMMY Award-winning, platinum-certified 2018 album Look Up Child - which includes the breakthrough, newly-6x Platinum-certified hit single “You Say” - Daigle has been a mainstay on the Billboard charts. When Look Up Child debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 Albums chart, Daigle became the first female artist in history to simultaneously hit the Top 10 on both Billboard’s Pop and Christian Album charts.

She went on to break another record when the LP reached 100 weeks at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart, which is the greatest number of weeks that any artist has spent at the top of any individual album chart. Similarly, “You Say” is the longest-running No. 1 to appear on any weekly Billboard chart. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Daigle is a two-time GRAMMY, seven-time Billboard Music Award, four-time American Music Award, and ten-time GMA Dove Music Award winner.
