BMI partnered with the National Restaurant Association to help bring a taste of the rich Austin music scene to the association’s 2016 Restaurant Innovation Summit, held recently (9/14) at the Hilton Austin. The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, led by BMI songwriter Mark Stuart, performed in front of a large of group of restaurant executives from around the country who were in town for two days to learn about the latest technological advances in their industry. The BSOJC combines a unique blend of old school country with fresh lyrics and melodies. Rolling Stone magazine calls their sound “pure Americana heart and soul”.
