BMI is thrilled to congratulate our Academy Award winners Ludwig Göransson, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, who each took home their first Oscar last night in Hollywood: Göransson for his score to Black Panther, and Gaga, Ronson and Wyatt for their original song, “Shallow,” from A Star is Born, which was stunningly performed by Lady Gaga with her co-star Bradley Cooper. In addition to these impressive wins, renowned composer Lalo Schifrin, who is responsible for the iconic theme to Mission: Impossible, among many other memorable works, received an honorary Academy Award at the prestigious Governors Awards. Congratulations also go to BMI composer John Ottman, who received his first Oscar for editing Bohemian Rhapsody. Kudos to all! BMI is honored to represent your music.
