BMI provided the musical entertainment at the opening dinner of the National Association of Licensing Compliance Professionals annual conference held recently (10/6) in New Orleans. BMI songwriter and recording artist, Marc Scibilia, entertained the group of executives who are responsible for the music and liquor licensing at their respective companies, which include chain restaurants and hotels, grocery stores and retail establishments. Scibilia is a Nashville artist with a strong following, who, in 2015, had the most Shazamed moment in the Super Bowl for his version of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land,” which appeared in Jeep Chrysler’s commercial. Scibilia is currently on the road opening for the likes of Andy Grammer and Gavin DeGraw.
