Best of Indie 2015: Smallpools
Touted by BMI’s Indie Spotlight back in March for their heavy-hitting, synth-driven pop, Los Angeles quartet Smallpools released their first full-length album, Lovetap!, on March 24, making good on the promise of their initial buzz, delivering 14 high–energy tracks, including the first single, “Karaoke,” an upbeat song of celebratory perseverance. After their own year-ending headlining tour, the band closed out 2015 with a performance at the Duo Exchange in Shibuya, Japan, in December.
