2015 proved to be a seismic year for Ashley Frangipane, better known by her stage name, Halsey. Since being featured in BMI’s Indie Spotlight back in March, the emerging songwriter ignited both industry and music-lovers alike at SXSW with her unbridled energy and raw, emotional candor. Her first full album, Badlands, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. No longer a secret of the underground, Halsey guested on “The Feeling” on Justin Bieber’s 2015 album, Purpose, and sold out an impending date for August 13, 2016, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in under three weeks.
