Award-Winning BMI Songwriter Sonia Leigh Performs at the Council of State Restaurant Associations Government Affairs Conference

As has become tradition, BMI provided the entertainment at the annual government affairs conference of the Council of State Restaurant Associations (CSRA) held November 14 in Scottsdale, Arizona. BMI award-winning singer/songwriter Sonia Leigh entertained the crowd which was comprised of state and national restaurant association executives and their respective government affairs team members. Sonia performed “My Name Is Money,” which went to #36 on the Billboard charts, “Booty Call,” “When We Are Alone.” along with a song from her newest project which will be released in early 2024.

After Sonia’s performance, BMI presented Karen Bremer, President & CEO of the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA), with a gold record to recognize her 50 years of service to the hospitality association and her 13 years leading the GRA. Karen is retiring from her position in early 2024.

CSRA promotes the success of State Restaurant Associations and their members through collective influence, collaboration, and the dissemination of best practices.
