BMI's Delia Orjuela participated in a panel/workshop during the 10th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), held recently at the Egyptian Theater. Sponsored by Professional Latinos in Entertainment (PLIE), the panel also featured Alicen Catron Schneider, Vice President, Music Supervision, Television Music, NBC; Leonardo Heiblum, composer, Mary Full of Grace; and PLIE member David Jordan, President, La Corporacion Muzic, who served as moderator.

Shown after the conference are (l-r): composer Leonardo Heiblum, BMI's Delia Orjuela, panel moderator David Jordan and NBC's Alicen Catron Schneider.

Topics included how music is placed in films and how to acquire the rights to music and music composition. Filmmakers, musicians and songwriters spent an hour with music publishers, music supervisors and composers to learn how they search for music and find "that right song" for a film.
