Actress/Singer Kate Nauta Signs With BMI

Actress and singer/songwriter Kate Nauta stopped by the BMI New York office recently to sign up with the performing rights organization. Nauta, who stars as a lingerie-clad assassin in producer Luc Besson's new film The Transporter 2, co-wrote and sings two songs on the movie's soundtrack, including the closing theme.

The Transporter 2 also stars Jason Statham who returns as ex-Special Forces operative Frank Martin, aka "the Transporter." Now retired in Miami, Martin makes a living driving for a wealthy family, including twin brothers with whom he has unexpectedly bonded. But when the boys are abducted, Martin must use all his skills to bring them to safety and discover the kidnapper's master plan.

Nauta is also up for a part in the next X-Men movie, X-Men 3, as a sexy mutant who secretes a special pheromone to seduce men.
