10th Annual Christian Country Awards Honor BMI Stars

BMI artists led the way at the 10th Annual Christian Country Music Awards held recently at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Jimmy Snow, industry veteran and son of country music legend Hank Snow, received the Pioneer and Living Legend awards. Clifton Jansky was named Entertainer of the Year, and Stella Parton took the Female Vocalist trophy.

Lisa Ryan of the "700 Club" and Josh Turner hosted the evening, which included performances and presentations by Jeff Carson, Lisa Brokop, the Crabb Family, the Fox Brothers and the Oak Ridge Boys, who were named Mainstream Country Artist of the Year.

The Christian Country Music Awards are the cornerstone of the Christian Country Music Association Convention, held at the Millennium Maxwell House in Nashville. For the second consecutive year, the awards were broadcast live on the Great American Country cable network.
