Italian Artist Chiara Civello Making Waves in US

Posted in News on April 11, 2004
Italian singer/songwriter Chiara Civello is busy putting the finishing touches on her debut CD for Verve Records, Last Quarter Moon. The album, produced by Russ Titelman (Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Paul Simon), highlights her vocal instrument, her gift for writing poetic lyrics, and an approach to composition that blends her pop sensibility with a reverence for the great Italian and Brazilian composers.

Pictured in the studio are BMI's J.W. Johnson, Civello, producer Russ Titelman and engineer Dave O'Donnell.

Born and raised in Rome, Civello first arrived on U.S. shores to study at the prestigious Berklee School of Music and pursue her dreams of becoming a recording artist. In her young career, she has already worked with Tony Bennett and James Taylor, and co-penned a song with the legendary Burt Bacharach.
