Sherrié Austin Follows Feeling To New Musical Home

Posted in News on March 12, 2001

BMI and WE Records toasted Sherrié Austin during a party at BMI Nashville for her latest album, Followin' A Feelin, and previewed the video of its first single, the Dolly Parton-penned "Jolene." Austin, who counts Parton as her biggest musical influence, has performed "Jolene" at every concert since she was teenager in Australia; it is also the only song of the album's 10 that Austin did not co-write. Collaborators on Followin' A Feelin included producer Will Rambeaux (on eight cuts), Marcus Hummon, Blair Daly, and Dave Berg.

The album is the first project released by WE Records, a partnership between Austin and her publisher Ree Guyer Buchanan of Reynnsong Music. Street date is March 20, and Austin will mark the occasion with a perfomance at the famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in downtown Nashville.
