decades, first as a member of Ekhymosis before branching out as
formidable solo artist in 1999. Over the course of the ensuing
years, Juanes has recorded seven acclaimed studio albums, selling
over 15 million worldwide. Some of this most memorable and highest

Juanes has won countless industry accolades, been honored with
France’s L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and received the BMI
President’s Award in 2010. In 2008, he hosted the “Paz Sin
Fronteras” concert on the border between Colombia and Venezuela,
with artists like Carlos Vives, Juan Luis Guerra, Shakira, Miguel
Bose and Ricardo Montaner. He performed at the kickoff of the
2010 World Cup, the Macy’s 2010 Thanksgiving Day Parade in New
York City, and opened the 2015 GRAMMY Awards. He has collaborated
with a wide host of musical luminaries, is a consummate social
activist, philanthropist and advocate for peace, and he even
played, by special invitation, for Pope Frances. In no uncertain
terms, Juanes is the quintessence of a master songwriter and bona
fide global rock star.
