September 26, 2012 'Composing for the Screen' Film Scoring Mentorship Program Hosts BMI Day in New York BMI’s Doreen Ringer Ross and Lisa Feldman recently visited the BMI’s New York office in support of Rick Baitz’ “Composing for the Screen” seminar. “Composing for the Screen” provides an opportunity for nine emerging film composers to participate in a high-level workshop, during which film music is examined from many perspectives, including historical, psychological, dramatic, stylistic, and more. Ross and Feldman joined one of the six sessions held at the BMI Media Room and had the opportunity to interact with the nine emerging film composers selected to participate in the unique, year-long program directed by Rick Baitz.
