BMI Proudly Sponsors USC’s ‘Mixing for Composers’ Seminar
Oscar-nominated BMI film composer Alan Silvestri delivered a special guest lecture at the April 4 installment, while throughout the month of April, the student composers will join Dennis Sands at his state-of-the-art studio in Santa Barbara for hands-on lessons in achieving the best possible mixes of their scores, as well as lessons in the business of post-production. The third seminar of its kind, organized and implemented by SMPTV program director Brian King, the immersive experience is made possible thanks in large part to BMI’s continued support of music education.
