Senator Olympia Snowe Stops by BMI
Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) visited BMI’s New York headquarters on Wednesday, February 22 to discuss copyright issues with Fred Cannon, BMI Senior Vice President, Government Relations. Following Snowe’s announcement that she would step down after 33 years in Congress, Cannon noted that, "It is an extremely sad day for the intellectual property community to lose such a valiant champion as Senator Olympia Snowe. She has been a true inspiration in the Senate, as she has always demonstrated courage and integrity by putting the good of the nation ahead of party affiliation. Her leadership and strength of conviction will be missed. BMI salutes this inspiring leader after 33 years of outstanding service."
