Top BMI Composers Fuel Panels at Comic-Con International 2011

July 25, 2011 BMI and White Bear PR presented “The Character of Music” panel on July 21 during Comic-Con International 2011 in San Diego. BMI composers Dan Licht, Jeremy Zuckerman, Benjamin Wynn and Noah Sorota discussed the importance of music in film and television alongside their executive producer counterparts Sara Colleton (Emmy-winning Dexter), Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino (Emmy-winning Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Mark Verheiden (Falling Skies). Moderated by Anne Cecere, BMI Director, Film/TV Relations and Chandler Poling, Founder, White Bear PR, the conversation also delved into the participants’ working relationships, how music becomes a character in a story, and the layered process of scoring new projects.
