Barry Jekowsky Visits BMI Offices in New York
BMI’s Ralph Jackson (l) pauses for a photo with noted conductor Barry Jekowsky, who recently stopped by for a tour of BMI’s new World Trade Center headquarters. Jekowsky, who has lead major orchestras throughout the U.S. and Europe, is widely recognized for his commitment to new music and to building the careers of young composers. In 2002, The BMI Foundation, Inc. awarded a Special Citation to Jekowsky for his “visionary and passionate support of Young American Composers.”
