SCL & BMI Partner to Profile Live Recording Opportunities for Composers

The Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) and BMI will offer a unique panel to discuss live recording options for film, television and video game composers on Tuesday, August 18, from 7 until 9 p.m. at BMI’s New York offices.
Moderated by composer Joel Beckerman (Masterpiece, CBS Early Show), the conversation will be driven by insight from composers Joe Delia (King of New York, Bad Lieutenant) and Chris Hajian (Yonkers Joe, The Take); contractor Kimberlee Wertz (Tony Awards broadcast, Clay Pigeons); and musician David Weiss (Lion King, Doubt). Topics will include the affordability of top-tier musicians for various projects, AFM contracts, union residuals, clients who insist on buy-outs and much more.
Seating is limited, and reservations are required. To RSVP, please email rsvp@TheSCL.com.
