Representative Gohmert of Texas Supports Songwriter Equity Act

Congressman Louie Gohmert’s (R-TX-1) (@replouiegohmert) co-sponsorship of H.R. 1283, The Songwriter Equity Act of 2015, is welcome news to BMI affiliates in Texas and across the country. The 2015 bill, reintroduced in March by Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA-9) (@RepDougCollins), continues to gain momentum on Capitol Hill, and Rep. Gohmert’s support is extremely encouraging. Congressman Gohmert serves on the House Judiciary Committee where he is Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
