Jeff Beal’s Score to Buster Keaton’s Classic ‘The General’ is 5 Star

The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles was abuzz with anticipation for a new score written by Emmy-winning BMI composer Jeff Beal for Buster Keaton’s classic film The General. Performed live to picture by the LA Chamber Orchestra on November 11, the multi-sensory experience did not disappoint, as both viewers who had seen the film before and those who had not, were captivated. In addition to BMI’s support of the event, several BMI composers were also in attendance to witness Beal’s extraordinary music and expert conducting skills.
