Indie Spotlight: Wild Party
Power-pop quartet Wild Party only have an EP to their name. Well, that, and an overseas tour opening for the Wombats, a bold fan base and the potential to make it huge with their simple take on dance-ready songs. Comprised of Lucas Hughes, Lincoln and Jake Kreifels and Ethan Kaufmann, the San Antonio quartet’s lucky break in the UK did not immediately translate to stateside success, but with determination and a solid set of self-produced songs uploaded to iTunes, things are finally starting to pick up. Their performances live up to their name, shows with crazy energy and nothing but positive vibes, and the group has embarked on a tour of the Southeast leading up to a full week at SXSW.
