What started in Nashville a little over a year ago as a side project for frontman Andrew Glass and guitarist Landon Rives to express their love for deep-grooved dance tracks, has morphed into Marquee Mayfield, a bold statement of blended r&b/soul with flirtatious pop-funk & acid-jazz inspirations. They’ve wasted no time making an impression on the local music scene, showcasing in BMI’s Road to Bonnaroo competition last month and they’ll battle on April 19 for a slot on Vanderbilt’s Rites of Spring festival.
