Indie Spotlight: Cherub

Posted in News on March 4, 2014

Self-described as “the dance love-child of ‘80s funk and pop,” the electronic pop duo Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber have become a staple of the Nashville scene the past few years. With their fresh blend of hedonistic pop anthems and R&B grooves, Cherub will get even the most skeptical of toes tapping. Named one of Paste Magazine’s “12 Tennessee Bands You Should Listen to Now,” Cherub’s energetic live shows and buzz from viral hit single “Doses and Mimosas” have landed them sets at festivals like Bonnaro, Lollapalooza and SXSW the past few years. With the success of last year’s 100 Bottles EP and a return trip to the festival circuit planned for this summer, Cherub shows no sign of stopping the dance party any time soon.
