‘Girls Rock’ BMI SXSW Showcase

BMI joined Girls Rock Camp Austin to present a showcase of infectious indie energy from a lineup of international bands at the 2008 SXSW Music Festival. Held March 12 at 90 Proof, door proceeds were donated to Girls Rock Camp Austin, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women of all backgrounds and abilities through musical education and performance. Attendees were treated to performances by Erin McCarley, American Bang, The Jane Shermans, AM Syndicate, Delorentos, and November.
