BMI’s Vice President, Creative - Film, TV & Visual Media, Natalie Baartz, along with Senior Director Anne Cecere, supported several BMI composers at this year’s Game Sound Con on October 30, in Los Angeles. The highly anticipated event included two panels featuring BMI affiliates: “League of Legends Music: Defining Characters and Factions” with BMI composers Kole Hicks, Sebastien Najand and Jason Willey of Riot Games; and “Songs & Games: Creative Collaboration and Translating the Emotional Power of Songs into Video Games,” with BMI Composer Inon Zur. Both panels gave insightful takeaways for aspiring video game composers detailing real world strategies in creating music for this incredibly popular platform.
