BMI composer Erica Seguine is the BMI Foundation’s 14th Annual Charlie Parker Jazz Composition Prize winner. Seguine won the $3,000 Manny Albam Commission at the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop that was held Friday, June 28, 2013, in New York for her composition, “The Ravine,” which was influenced by both the serenity and noise of New York City in the Ravine and neighboring North Woods of Central Park.

The commissioned work will be performed at the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop 26th anniversary showcase concert to be held in 2014.
