Enter Durango Song Expo’s ‘Write With a Hitmaker’ Contest
The Durango Songwriters Expo is proud to announce the 2007 "Write With A Hitmaker" Contest. Aspiring songwriters in the pop/rock/alt/r&b and country/Americana categories can enter now for a chance to write a song with top tunesmiths at the 2007 Santa Barbara Wine Country Expo, sponsored by BMI May 31 to June 2.
Two lucky winners will get the opportunity to collaborate with Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer Ben Margulies (Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love") and Fastball founder Tony Scalzo ("The Way") in the pop/rock genre, and No. 1 hit writer Jeremy Stover ("Wherever You Are" by Jack Ingram) in the country category. Both winners will also receive a one-song publishing deal courtesy of Windswept (country) and peermusic (pop/rock) that includes studio time to record their winning song, as well as free registration to the Santa Barbara Expo, a $250 value.
The final deadline for contest entries is March 15, 2007; all entries postmarked by Jan. 10, 2007, will automatically be entered to win free registration to the Expo.
