BMI’s Rooftop on the Row Entertains Nashville with Priscilla Block and Chayce Beckham
BMI hosted its signature Rooftop on the Row series on May 16, presented by George Dickel Bourbon, as industry professionals and fans witnessed top-tier talent from two of the organization’s promising artists, Priscilla Block and Chayce Beckham. Inclement weather did not stop hundreds from gathering at BMI’s Nashville headquarters for free entertainment, music and drinks provided by the event’s sponsors ONErpm, Cumulus 103.3 Country, Daou Vineyards, Liquid Death, Red Bull, Texas Roadhouse, Topo Chico, White Claw and Studio Bank.
As DJ Smoke set the tone for this year’s second installment of BMI’s Rooftop On The Row, BMI’s Josh Tomlinson and Cumulus’ Elaina Smith introduced Beckham to the stage, where he launched into songs like “I’ll Take the Bar” and “Doin’ It Right” off his debut EP, which hit the No.1 spot on both the iTunes all-genre and country charts. He followed that with his RIAA Gold certified new single, “23,” which has garnered 145 million streams to date, as well as his most recent release, “Till The Day I Die,” which recently made its television debut on American Idol. Block continued the momentum as she opened with “My Bar” and kept the crowd engaged with her 11-song set. Highlights included fan-favorites like “Thick Thighs” and “Like A Boy” along with a special rendition of her new single “You, Me and Whiskey,” featuring Justin Moore.
In its fifth season, BMI’s “Rooftop On The Row” series returns July 18 with headliners Mackenzie Carpenter and Dylan Marlowe, followed by a 50th anniversary celebration for hip-hop on Aug. 15. The final event on Sept. 19 will serve as the official kickoff to Americanafest, with performers for the final two shows to be announced soon.
