BMI’s Josh Ross Celebrates “Single Again” with No. One Party
BMI hosted its final No. One party of 2025 for MCA/Universal Music Canada/CORE Records artist Josh Ross, as the music industry gathered to celebrate his first chart-topping hit, “Single Again,” on Monday, December 1, at Moto Moda. The breakout single from the back-to-back CCMA Entertainer of the Year and BMI’s Rooftop On The Row series alum appears on his debut album, Later Tonight, earning wins at the 2025 CCMA Awards for Single of the Year and Video of the Year.
Hosted by BMI and SESAC and emceed by BMI’s Jackson Kiger, Ross was reunited with co-writers Joe Fox (SESAC), Brad Rempel (SOCAN) and producer Matt Geroux to recognize Fox’s third hit and Rempel’s first. In celebration of Ross’s first No. One song as a BMI songwriter, Kiger presented him with a custom Taylor 210e DLX guitar. Sponsored by Studio Bank, Kari Barnhart made a special donation presentation on behalf of Ross and the songwriters in support of Pawsitive Rescue Division, an organization that promotes a streamlined process for each pup from rescue to their fur-ever home. To conclude the celebration, MCA’s Damon Moberly presented Ross with a plaque celebrating the RIAA GOLD-certified song.
