BMI Writers Head to Utah for Summit With 103.5 and FM 100.3

While the word ‘summit’ in Utah likely summons mental images of mountains and winter sports, on March 22, Broadcast Music, Inc., 103.5 The Arrow and FM 100.3 are bringing a different type of summit to the Salt Lake City area: The 2014 Songwriters Summit. The all day, all ages event will take place at the Depot, and will feature panel discussions that promise to be truly comprehensive, along with insightful talks on songwriting, producing and distribution for experienced and aspiring songwriters alike. In addition, to cap off the event, there will be a featured performance by renowned BMI songwriters Dean Dillon, Steve Dorff and Paul McDonald, whose accomplishments speak for themselves: Dillon, a country legend and BMI Icon, has penned more than 50 songs for George Strait; Dorff, a three-time GRAMMY nominee is responsible for 15 Top 10 hits across the discographies of artists like Kenny Rogers, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion; and McDonald, the auspicious newcomer who has fresh experience as an American Idol finalist.
