BMI Sponsors First Annual Country Throwdown Tour
The inaugural Country Throwdown Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, kicks off this month. The multi-stage, multi-city summer run will launch May 14 in Tampa, Florida, and will wrap June 20 in Mountain View, California. The top-tier lineup includes a slew of BMI favorites: Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, Jack Ingram, Eric Church, the Eli Young Band, The Lost Trailers, Heidi Newfield, Ryan Bingham and The Dead Horses, and Emily West are all slated to perform.
In an additional effort to showcase more promising new voices, the Country Throwdown Tour has also partnered with the venerable Bluebird Café to feature nine emerging singer-songwriters, the vast majority of whom are also members of the BMI family: Ashley Ray, Dave Pahanish, Jedd Hughes, Sarah Buxton, Troy Olsen, Heather Morgan and Walker Hayes. Attendees will enjoy performances from the up-and-comers in an intimate, “in-the-round” setting inside the BMI-sponsored Bluebird Café Tent throughout the day, while the emerging artists will also perform nightly on a designated stage during main stage set changes.
