BMI & Partners Present Los Producers Charity Show at Las Vegas Strip’s Hard Rock Café

Unique Pre-Latin Grammys event raises funds for Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation

BMI, Univision Radio, Corona, Full Sail University, the University of Guadalajara Foundation and Lurssen Mastering co-hosted the 2011 Los Producers Charity Show, a benefit for the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. Held November 9 at the Hard Rock Café on the Las Vegas Strip the night before the Latin Grammys, the evening featured an all-star band backing a revolving lineup of Latin Grammy nominees and other Latin trendsetters.

Performers included Best New Artist winner Sie7e and Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group honoree Jorge Villamizar of Alex, Jorge y Lena, as well as nominees Franco DeVita, Mr. Pauer, Carla Morrison, La Santa Cecilia, Claudia Brant, Eric Bazilian, La Vida Boheme, Armando Avila, Aureo Baqueiro, Los Tucanes De Tijuana, GianMarco, David Cabrera, Pau Dones (of Jarabe de Palo), Fidel and Sunny Sauceda. Ines Gaviria also delivered a stunning performance.

The killer house band included Sebastian Krys, Dan Warner, Lee Levin, John Falcone, Doug Emery and Elsten Torres.

All proceeds generated by Los Producers Charity Show went to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, which donates both new and refurbished instruments to school and after-school music programs.
