BMI’s Latin affiliates had a winning streak last night at the 16th Annual Latin GRAMMYs in Las Vegas, taking several of the evening’s biggest awards, including Monsieur Perine for Best New Artist and Sebastian Krys for Producer of the Year. In addition, powerhouse Juan Luis Guerra garnered multiple trophies, including Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Tropical Album for Todo Tiene Su Hora, and Best Tropical Song for “Tus Besos.”

Outstanding performances by BMI affiliates Tigres Del Norte and Mana, Ricky Martin and Wisin, J Balvin, Espinoza Paz and Raquel Sofia also added to the electricity in the air at the packed MGM Grand Garden Arena, which could be felt even by those watching at home on Univision.
