Broadcast Music, Inc. was proud to help celebrate BMI songwriter, and recently named ACM Songwriter of the Year, Luke Laird, who along with songwriter Jaren Johnston, wrote Frankie Ballard’s number one hit, “Sunshine and Whiskey.” Music industry executives gathered at the City Winery venue in Nashville to laud the song, which is the title track off of Ballard’s latest album, and second song from the album to hit number one. Joining BMI writers Florida Georgia Line, Ballard will tour the U.S. throughout the summer on the “Anything Goes Tour.”
