BMI sponsored the musical entertainment at this year’s annual meeting of the National Association of Licensing Compliance Professionals (NALCP) held recently (10/14-10/16) at the Hyatt Regency in Austin. BMI singer-songwriter Rob Baird and guitarist Z Lynch rocked the opening reception with their own Texas flair, while award-winning country artist and songwriter Helen Darling sang for a lunchtime crowd and told the story of how she wrote the huge hit “Bring on the Rain” for Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw that topped both the country and AC charts. NALCP is a non-profit organization comprised of in-house hospitality licensing and compliance professionals specializing in liquor and music licensing.
